Spa Etiquette: What to Know Before Your First Visit

Visiting a spa can be a rejuvenating experience, offering a tranquil escape from the daily grind. However, if it's your first time, the array of protocols and practices might seem daunting. This guide will walk you through essential spa etiquette, helping you to feel more comfortable and enjoy your spa experience to the fullest.

At Sparadise, we aim to make your visit as serene and seamless as possible.

 Booking Your Appointment

 Plan Ahead

Due to high demand, especially during late afternoons and weekends, we recommend booking your appointment well in advance. This ensures that you secure your desired date, time, and therapist. For more flexibility and a quieter atmosphere, consider scheduling during off-peak hours, such as weekday mornings. You can book ahead using the website, put a call through to 09169842026, chat us on WhatsApp, or send a mail to Ikeja@sparadisenig.com

 What to Mention

When booking, please inform us of any health conditions or preferences you have. This includes allergies, pregnancy, injuries, or if it’s a special occasion. This allows us to tailor your session for safety and satisfaction.

 Day of Your Visit

 Arrival Time

Arrive at least 15-20 minutes early. This extra time helps you unwind, complete any necessary paperwork, and enjoy our complimentary refreshments like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Arriving early also means you have ample time to get acquainted with our facilities and relax before your treatment begins.

In a case where you’d be running late, kindly give a notice of one or two hours ahead for your therapists to also prepare.

 Cell Phone Use

To maintain a peaceful environment, we ask that you turn off your cell phone or set it to silent mode upon entering the spa. This helps ensure a stress-free atmosphere not only for you but for other guests as well.

 During Your Treatment

 Communication Is Key

Don't hesitate to communicate your comfort levels with your therapist. Whether it's the room temperature, the pressure of the massage, or the volume of the music, we encourage you to voice your preferences. Our therapists are here to accommodate your needs and ensure you have the best experience.

 Modesty and Comfort

Your comfort and privacy are our utmost priorities. We provide robes and towels, and our therapists are trained to ensure you are properly draped throughout your treatment, exposing only the area being worked on.

 Medical Concerns

If you have any medical issues or if you're wearing contact lenses during a facial, please inform your therapist. They are trained to adjust the treatment accordingly to ensure your safety and comfort.

 After Your Treatment

 Hydration

After your treatment, particularly massages, it’s important to drink plenty of water. This helps to hydrate your body and flush out toxins. Our staff will provide water and may offer other hydration options post-treatment.

 Feedback and Tips

Feedback is invaluable to us; it helps us improve our services. If your experience was positive, it’s customary to leave a gratuity. Typically, tips range from 15% to 20% of the cost of the service, but the amount is ultimately up to your discretion. You can talk to the Spa supervisor for direct feedback who is ever ready and friendly to receive your feedback.

 Rescheduling and Cancellations

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This courtesy allows us to manage our schedule and possibly accommodate other guests.

 Additional Tips

 Dining

It’s best to avoid a heavy meal at least an hour before your treatment. A light snack is preferable if you need to eat something beforehand.

 Health Forms and Policies

Be prepared to fill out a health questionnaire on your first visit. Understanding our non-refundable service policy and our stance on personal belongings is also crucial—Sparadise is not liable for lost or stolen items, so we recommend leaving valuables at home.

 Respecting Others

Remember that the spa environment is one of tranquility and relaxation. Keeping your voice low and movements gentle helps preserve the serene atmosphere of Sparadise.

Visiting Sparadise should be a restorative and stress-free experience. By following these simple etiquette tips, you can make the most of your time with us and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We look forward to welcoming you and providing a memorable spa experience that encourages you to return time and again. Escape the rigors of Lagos and rejuvenate your senses with a visit to Sparadise, your oasis of tranquility and relaxation.
